“A day at the Races”

Amount raised
£990.00

Not the Marx Brothers film, but the Salomon Richmond 13.1 race on Sunday 3rd April, starting at Old Deer Park in Richmond. A crisp dry start just after 8.30 turned into a warm dry day – just the perfect running conditions for David, Catherine and Brett to successfully finish the half-marathon; at times it was a question of which might give out first, the lungs or the legs, especially dodging the muddy puddles on the towpaths! It was a hugely rewarding – if at times painful – experience, but we kept going and crossed the finishing line with good personal times.

A BIG thank you to all those who came along and supported the runners on the day, and a HUGE thank you also to those who sponsored the Running Team. If you pledged sponsorship and have not yet paid, or would like to donate to GETA in recognition of our achievement you can do so by:

  • cheque payable to “GETA” (with “gift aid” and your address on the back) sent to 57 Court Way, Twickenham, TW2 7SA
  • clicking on the “Donate” button and following the instructions - completing the “Gift Aid” form if you are an eligible taxpayer

(Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25% on donations with no extra cost to you.)

Once again, a big thank you to all those involved in this very successful event.
