GETA chairman David Rose & his daughter Rachel ran the Cabbage Patch race to raise much needed funds for St Theresa's school in Uganda. David and Rachel completed the race in an impressive time of 1hr 39m 56s.
In support of David & Rachel's fundraising efforts, the GETA team set up a "Healthy Mind, Health Body" event at St Margaret's Church, Twickenham to provide healthy food & drink options and fun sporting activities for the children of the parish. The children enjoyed hula-hooping, playing games such as Jenga, Scrabble & Ker-Plunk. When the sun decided to shine the table tennis was brought out onto the patio for both the adults and children to take part. There was also healthy cake decorating - involving rice cakes and dairylea & a very well received halloween themed children's tombola.
Tesco in St Margaret's very generously donated the food & beverages for this event which were very warmly received by those in attendance. Thank you so much to Weronika & Vijey for your kind support.
Finally not forgetting our 'Star Baker' Holly Allen (age 9) for providing delicious home made cookies to sell!
