GETA has since 2014 supported the growth of St Theresa's school, Uganda by providing financial assistance with the installation of a borehole well, assistance with costs for children to attend the school and many other projects. The latest project was to provide security fencing around the perimeter of the school which was previously unsecured.
The health and well being of the students remains GETA's top priority. Currently the students who are boarding at the school are having to sleep in classrooms without adequate bedding or washing facilities. In order to support the continued growth of the school and to ensure a greater number of children can benefit from the chance of an education, GETA's current fundraising initiative is to assist with the costs of building a boy's dormitory, which we anticipate will cost approx. £21,000.
GETA does not have any 'salaried' staff and all our members offer their services on a voluntary basis. Any monies raised are sent directly for the benefit of St Theresa's school.
Please help us to continue this great work, a small contribution today, will go a long way to ensuring the future of a young child in Uganda. If you can help us with your expertise and time, we are always looking for volunteers to join us on this rewarding journey.
