GETA & Harris + Hoole raffle - 5th May 2017

Thank you so much on behalf of GETA to everyone for the wonderful support in making our raffle event today such a success, and especially H + H for hosting the event.

A total of £157.09 was raised made up of £122.00 from the raffle ticket sales, £18.00 donations on the day and £17.09 from the collecting buckets.

On behalf of GETA, a big thank you also to all those who bought tickets and gave such generous donations.

Salomon Richmond Half Marathon

David Rose, GETA Chairman successfully completed the half-marathon this morning. He found it tough going at times because of the strong headwind, but thankfully it was dry under foot and overhead as well - the sun broke through just after he crossed the finish line. David recorded his time as 2h 00m 23s.

Christmas Card Competition

Congratulations to Ingrid McKendry who wins the £10 Book Token for her entry in our recent competition. You can see her winning design below. Thank you to all the entrants, and look out for future opportunities to show off your creative skills. All of the cards have been sent to St Theresa’s School.

Design a Christmas Card (and win a prize!)

GETA is inviting all children from Year 1 up to Year 6 to design a Christmas card to send to St Theresa's School in Uganda. The card (in an unsealed envelope) should be a maximum of A5 size (210 x 148mm) when folded in half, and can have whatever illustration you like on the front and a greeting inside. There will be a £10 National Book Tokens spend card for the best design, so get creative.

Harris + Hoole very kindly supported our fundraising Afternoon tea with complimentary brownies and coffee.  We would like to pass on our thanks to them for assisting us with our event and helping raise over £500 for our cause.
